Save a Yakima Icon

The trolley line to Selah is under threat

The City of Yakima is set to renovate 6th Avenue, and one option under consideration is removing the trolley tracks completely. This would end trolley rides to Selah forever–not to mention bringing an end to the last intact example of an interurban electric railway left in America!

Please join us in instead promoting a brighter vision of the future for the trolleys!

We need your voice to keep Yakima’s history on track

1. Sign our digital petition

We, the undersigned, call on the Yakima Valley’s elected officials to preserve, maintain, and restore as needed, all remaining YVT trolley tracks, including the 6th Avenue line to Selah. We recognize the trolleys’ economic, historic, and cultural importance, not only to our community’s past, but also its future.
