We, the undersigned, call on the Yakima Valley’s elected officials to preserve, maintain, and restore as needed, all remaining YVT trolley tracks, including the 6th Avenue line to Selah. We recognize the trolleys’ economic, historic, and cultural importance, not only to our community’s past, but also its future.

When we had visitors, the tram was the highlight of their visit. It could be a major visitors attraction to Yakima for elders to reminisce or children to be Wowed . Do not, like so many cities around the country, regret the removal of an historical item with historical connections to Europe. Save the Trolley!

It was bad enough that some Idiot stole the Cantenary wires on the Selah line I hope they got caught and put in jail . You have a responsibility to save the trolly line intact as it is the very last interurban line in the USA . Please Save the line !
